The Life-Stage
Hillcrest Baptist Church is an enthusiastic, traditional, Baptist congregation located in Pensacola, Fl. Under the leadership of Pastor Willy Rice, the church has doubled its membership in the last five years.
As a result of this significant growth, Hillcrest faced several communication challenges. First, they needed to maintain their core identity as a Baptist church with a rich history. At the same time, they needed to demonstrate their relevance to the growing number of young and un-churched people in their community.
Pastor Rice and the church staff recognized that one of the first steps to effective communication was a clearly defined mission statement, values and strategy. They knew that once these critical processes were completed the church could build a dynamic brand identity that would compellingly communicate the church's vision to their membership and community. After meeting with Manlove's consultants, it was decided that the church should partner with John Manlove Church Marketing.
